Welcome to the wonderful world of medical missions! Allow me to introduce myself and our team. My name is Jennifer D'Amico, I am a podiatric surgeon from San Diego, California, my passion is for traveling the world helping people with foot and ankle deformities.
+Carl Kihm is my co team leader. He is a podiatric surgeon from Atlanta, Georgia, this is his third trip to Kathmandu.
+Steve Miller a podiatric surgeon from Anacortes, Washington. He is our amazing mentor on our mission trip. He has travelled the world bring vaccines to people as well as doing wonderful foot and ankle corrective surgery!
+Jason Martin is new to the team, although a musician by trade he is volunteering his time to be our team administrator along with Marc Estvold.
Ryan Jense, Stin Ritter and Martha Johnson are our amazing anesthesia team!!
+Michael Wilson will be our fearless team physician helping us screen patients and keeping out post op patients as pain free as possible. His beautiful wife +Kristi Wilson will be aiding our team administrator and keeping the kids and their families engaged and educated.
Marta Eli is our fearless ER nurse who is jumping in to the OR full force!
I'm working up a sweat getting all of our fantastic donations divided up, packed into bags, weighed and locked. We have been blessed to be supported by BME surgical, Project Cure, Baby Jakes, BSN, San Diego Outpatient Surgical Center and TRose scrubs. We appreciate these very kind and generous donations!!!
We arrive in Kathmandu this Thursday, Stay tuned for updates from me and our team!!!
